Senior Girls Dominate the Football Field!

Bryan Williams

As the senior and junior boys grabbed their pompoms and the girls strapped up their helmets, everyone in attendance was ready for an old fashioned, grid iron football game –And that’s exactly what the students of LHS got. As “This is our house!!” echoed from the sideline of the senior boys, the senior girls put their words into actions. Both teams fought hard and long but in the end the senior girls prevailed 22-6. Lila Reginald dazzled in her three touchdown performance. The sole points scored by the juniors were scored by their cheerleaders’ performance lead by Robert Clark and Victor Bedoya. The two teams practiced for three weeks in preparation for this winner-take-all game and everyone involved was entertaining, to say the least. With a great turn out from the LHS student body and junior and senior participants, it was a huge success; as a result, you can say there were no real losers here.
