Sayonara Spring Sport Seniors!
Boys Tennis
The Boys Tennis team hosted rivals Garfield on Wednesday May 11. This was a special game for Lodi as they honored their senior members, Osama Al Safarjalani, Darren Bustos, and Jacob Delgado. Nonetheless, the Rams went out and competed with the same tenacious spirit that held the team together throughout the entire season. Despite a 5-0 loss, the Rams held their heads high and finished off on a memorable season at home. When asked to give his final thoughts on Lodi Tennis, Captain Darren Bustos said, “You only live once, but you serve twice.” Coach Shibilski referred to his 2016 Rams as, “a persistent group of young men, led by great captains.” Despite an end to their season, the seniors are hopeful for the future of Lodi Boys Tennis as they now look to the underclassmen to step up on the court and prove their leadership potential.
