How to: Surviving Freshman Year
With the seniors entering their final year of high school, we asked them to give our new freshman a few pointers on how to survive their first year at Lodi High School. Being a freshmen can be nerve-wracking and frightening, especially since the high school is a little more crowded than the middle school. However, once you get past the feelings of fear and nervousness, our high school offers a safe place for our freshman to figure out who they are and who they want to be. To help, there are a plethora of clubs and sports that they can choose from. Sports and clubs give our freshman a chance to find new friends and ease the transition with a couple of upperclassmen on their side. We remember the feeling of being the big kids in eighth grade and then coming to the high school as a ninth grader and being the youngest. Age gaps are bigger and students may not feel like they have much in common, but our seniors flashback to freshman year to help the class of 2020 make LHS their home for the next four years.
