Freshman Class Advisor: Ms. Policastro

Hello Freshman Class! Many people wonder where does the money actually come from? Well this is it! Each grade has a student council and an adviser. This is Ms. Policastro’s second year as the freshman class adviser and if you’re looking to be involved… this club is for you!

Q: What type of qualities do you look for when choosing officers?

A: When choosing officers for the freshmen student council, I look for students who are dedicated, responsible, trustworthy and willing to be involved.

Q: Why did you choose to become the freshman class advisor?

A: Last year was my first year teaching at L.H.S. Being new to the school I wanted to get myself involved and have the students get to know me.

Q: What events should we look forward to in the upcoming school year?

A: A few events to look forward to this upcoming school year are bake sales on half days, the dodge-ball tournament, and a car wash in the spring.

Q: What is the biggest event that your club takes part in?

A: The biggest event that the freshmen student council is in charge of is the dodge-ball tournament. Last year we had a great turnout and many students participated in this fundraiser. We also had students come out and support their favorite team. I’m hoping this year is even better and everyone continues to support us by coming and getting involved.

Q: What goal would you like to accomplish this year?

A: My goal this year is to raise as much money possible for the Class of 2018. I also would like to get the Freshmen involved in our school and have them help out with our fundraisers.

Fun Fact:

In high school (2007) I held the school record for Javelin.
