Hall of Champions
The Hall of Champions celebrates the success of LHS students whether it be in community service, academics, athletics, or in any other achievements. Every time a student does an exceptional performance they will be awarded the title of a Champion with the hope that this will encourage him/her to keep doing his/her best. The idea for the name is based on the theme of being a champion and working hard to be successful which can be seen in the writing throughout the school halls. LHS has been promoting the theme of being a champion by painting quotes around the school and having encouraging assemblies.
The first three champions were announced about a month ago. Urmil Dalal was highlighted for being a leader and showing school spirit. He has put in countless hours behind the camera to document memories for LHS. Kamille Banks’ exemplary community service was highlighted. She has given back to the community by mentoring students in the “Teach and Reach” program, which she designed and initiated. Lastly, Chris Caban was highlighted for showing leadership and having athletic achievements. He is the captain of the football and wrestling team and is one of nine wrestlers to win 100 varsity matches. Mr. D’Amico, along with the rest of the LHS staff, hope to see the students shine and strive to become a champion! Stay tuned for updates on future champions!
