Lady Rams Lace Up for the New Season!

The cold weather being brought upon us, means basketball is back in action. Coach Romeo and the Lady Rams couldn’t be more prepared or excited. The Lady Rams enter the 2016-2017 season with tons of experience under their belt. Having only graduated one senior starter last year, Coach Romeo is expecting last season’s two lead scorers, Aliyah Williams and Lila Reginald,  to carry the biggest load for the Lady Rams. A player that most teams may not be game planning for is new player, Nicole Salvatore. Coach Romeo added, “She will be a new face for other teams and once she gets comfortable and back into basketball mode, she’s going to be a great addition.” An advantage that the Lady Rams have this year is knowing their strengths and weaknesses and being able to know what to expect from their opponents. This allows the team to set their goals high. According to Coach Romeo, “Our end goal is to always improve from the season before, especially when we only graduated one starter. We would like to beat those teams that we lost close games, win our holiday tournament, compete in the NJIC Tournament, and, of course, go further in the state playoffs.” Good luck to Coach Romeo and all of the Lady Rams this upcoming season!
