And the New NHS Inductees Are…
After going through an application filled with tedious work, seven hard working and determined students made it into National Honor Society. James Trainor, Dave Pascual, Emely Ocampo, Gimelyn Yray, Kamille Banks, Noor Baryah, and Shanza Arif were inducted during a ceremony held in Mr. D’amico’s office on Oct. 14. Even though the selected seniors were inducted on that day, they will also be featured in the ceremony held in March with the junior inductees.
These seven students were inducted due to their consistent dedication to community service, upholding a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and possessing leadership qualities. Emely describes being in NHS as,”…bringing a larger sense of responsibility.” Dave adds to this notion by sharing that he feels, “…not only proud, but also more empowered to keep doing well.” With such commitment to the school and community, it can be a challenge to uphold such expectations but there is no doubt that the students won’t do amazing. It is a great honor to be part of such a prestigious organization and current NHS members welcome the newly inducted with open arms. The Lodi Rampage congratulates all who got inducted and wishes them great luck in NHS!
