MS Fashion Show
The MS Fashion Show is an annual fundraiser that promotes awareness for those living with multiple sclerosis. MS results in nerve damage that disrupts communication between the brain and the body. It’s a rare and chronic illness that cannot be cured, however, treatment may help. Mrs. Yzquierdo got involved with the program when one of her cheerleaders, whose sister has MS, asked her to help. Since then Mrs. Y has continued to volunteer and has taken on other roles. Now that she is no longer the cheerleading coach Mrs.Y has opened up the opportunity to students who believe volunteering is important to our community. Whether students were running the raffle baskets to the winners, helping people to their tables, or engaging in one on one conversations with those affected by MS, they all agree it was an amazing experience.
