Keeping Busy During Self-Quarantine

It seems like the past few days in self quarantine have been going by much slower than they usually do. Doing school work doesn’t take up too much time of your day and suddenly your left with a whole lot of time and nothing else to do. Watching Netflix and going through social media can only entertain you for so long. At the end of the day, you feel as if you haven’t accomplished much. Well, that can all change if you try at least one of the activities suggested below. Doing just one of them to change up your routine will have you feeling a lot better about how you are spending your time!

Try a Workout: There are a various amount of workouts that you can try that range from types, intensity, and duration. This means that you can find the perfect workout for you! Whether you’re in the mood for dancing, lifting weights, no equipment needed, or a quick five minute workout, it’s out there for you to try!

 

Be Creative Through Art: There are so many different forms of art such as painting, sculpting, making jewelry or just doodling. Art is a way to relax and forget about everything that’s going and it’s also a way in which you can express your emotions. You can get as creative as you’d like and create beautiful pieces!

 

 

Reorganize Your Room: There’s always those spots in our room that have a lot of clutter. Whether it’s under the bed or in a drawer, those places are in desperate need of organization. Now is the time to sort through those spots and you might even end up finding things that you thought you lost!

 

 

Try New Recipes: Instead of drooling over the pictures of those delicious deserts we always see on our phone, now’s the time to make them! Trying new recipes can help you find your new favorite meal. Making these meals with others is encouraged to make the process even more exciting!

 

 

Spend Time With Your Family: We often miss out on spending precious time with our family because of our busy schedules. Now is the time to get to know your family members more and to do activities together such as playing board games or cooking together!
