Mr. Way

Mr. Way

Many of you may know Mr. Way as the Vice-Principal or as the Algebra teacher in the middle school.   He grew up in Little Ferry and he was put into the Little Ferry hall of fame as a child for baseball.  While attending Paramus Catholic Mr. Way played football and baseball for his high school.  After high school, he began his education at St. Peters College.  Many teachers have the same inspirations to why they wanted to become a teacher, but not Mr. Way.  He said there was one thing he knew he didn’t want to be and that was an accountant.  Mr. Way saw his brother work as an accountant and realized he didn’t want to pick a job that involved working that many hours. Somewhere down the road he took an interest in teaching and coaching.  His first steps began in Columbus Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson Middle School.  Mr. Way’s experience at TJMS lasted fifteen years and he is beginning a new chapter in his life at LHS.  As of right now, Mr. Way teaches a sophomore PSAT and junior SAT prep class.  In the future Mr. Way hopes to spread his knowledge and teach other math classes.   According to him, he describes his experience here as different, but enjoyable and sees himself setting down here for a long time. He says, “You got to have fun; that’s the most important thing.”
