Unorganized Cooking: Milk Tea

Hello, again! Welcome back to Unorganized Cooking, but with a twist. That twist is, I did this cooking recipe with a friend over a chaotic phone call. The reason this phone call was chaotic was because neither of us knew what we were doing. There’s two variants of the tea we did. Anyways, here are the ingredients. Also, I forgot to take a photo of the ingredients, but I think you have enough experience to know what these things look like.

Ingredients:

Black Tea Variant:

  • Black Tea
  • Brown Sugar (Or at least I think that’s what they used)
  • Water
  • Milk (Could be just about any, as far as I’m concerned)

Oolong Tea Variant (mine):

  • Oolong Tea
  • Honey
  • Water
  • Milk (Same thing –I think I used oat milk in this one)

Cooking Time: Should be 15 minutes if you know what you’re doing.

Instructions:

  1. Get half a cup of water and pour it into a saucepan. I don’t have one of those fancy cups with the measuring lines, but I do have measuring cups which would’ve been useful. I just used half of the cup I was using at the moment. Also, although you can use a regular pan to cook sauce in, that’s not what I meant.
  2. Once it reaches a simmer, pour it into your cup. If it’s glass, it’ll probably break. You can either use normal bagged tea, or try using loose leaf. The best way to use loose leaf is through a coffee filter.
  3. Either add 2-3tspn. of sugar, or 1tsp. of honey.
  4. Fill the rest of the cup with milk, whether it’d be 2%, whole, almond, oat, etc.

And, there you have it. It should be that simple!

Also, just because you accidentally swallowed a tea leaf doesn’t mean it’s all of a sudden poisonous unless your body is the type that easily shifts to maximum overdrive.
