Lodi Wrestling Falls Short

After a win against Lyndhurst and a loss against Ramsey, Lodi tried to add another win to their record with a huge crowd Wednesday night as they hosted Lodi High School’s biggest rival, the Garfield Boilermakers. Lodi fell short with a score of 35-28. Lodi may have started off weak but as the matches continued, Lodi starting packing up some wins. Seniors, Dom Salvatore, Gorav Kumar, Joel De La Cruz and Jose Sanchez and Juniors Steven Villa and Mike Dios won their matches to put Lodi on the board. Senior Captain Dom Salvatore had his 97th win Wednesday night and is now 3 wins away from 100 career wins. This is a huge accomplishment in high school wrestling and he shall soon conquer his goal as he takes on multiple matches this week. Support Lodi at their next big match as they travel across town to Hasbrouck Heights Friday night and wrestle under the spotlight.
