After their loss last Thursday (Jan. 8), the Lady Rams followed up with a win Saturday against Paramus 46-39. On Tuesday, Rutherford defeated the Girls Basketball team to a score of 43-27. The loss didn’t last long as the Rams bounced back with a win over Hawthorne on Thursday (Jan. 15). Sukhi Kaur had a season high of 27 points and was asked about her performance. “I did whatever I could to help out my team by driving the ball as much as I could. I tried my best to control the offense and of course being the top scorer of a game is a great feeling.” The Girls’ next game is Tuesday (Jan. 20) at 4 pm at Manchester Regional.

The Boys Basketball team also split this week with a win and a loss. On Tuesday, Rutherford beat Lodi 61-52 to bring them to 3-4. Fortunately, Thursday brought a win to the Rams over Hawthorne. The offense exploded in the second quarter scoring 21 points to Hawthorne’s 7. From there, the team managed the rest of the game to bring the score to 48-37. The Boys’ next game is Tuesday (Jan. 20) at 7 pm, home against Manchester Regional.
