A Well Lit Lodi
On Friday, Dec. 6, the Borough of Lodi presented its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Many members of the community came out to the event and turned Memorial Park into a Christmas wonderland. Commencing the lighting, Lodi High School’s Colorguard and Marching Band teamed up to perform some of their scores for the audience. Following, Madrigal Choir made an appearance and sang some of their pieces from their winter concert. Also showing some holiday spirit were the LHS cheerleaders who volunteered to help organize the event and aid with Santa’s set up. The night ran smoothly with speeches from Lodi’s government members, a few words from father Francisco, and the appearance of Santa Clause. The night concluded with the actual lighting of the tree, and pictures with Santa being taken within the local library. Another successful event was accomplished with enough hot chocolate and train rides for everyone. After all was said and done, Lodi wished everyone a happy holiday season.
