A Welcomed Homecoming
The Lodi Football Rams are finally back above .500! After starting 2-3, the Rams have responded well with back-to-back wins to bring them to 4-3. Their victory against the Palisades Park Tigers (28-8) was aided much by the Rams offensive line and the return of running back Jesse Asare, who eclipsed 1,000 yards on the season.
Wide receiver David Acevedo had his best game of the season. He accounted for two touchdowns on the day. The first came on an impressive toe-tapper in the left corner of the endzone, while the second was caught from 30 yards out off of a laser throw by quarterback Johnny Calabrese.
The defense also stepped up, only holding the Tigers to eight points and forcing a fumble late in the game to seal a win.
Lodi’s next game is back under the lights on Friday as they take face New Milford on the road. The game will be played on Halloween (October 31).
