As the school year is approaching an end and the seniors are off to college, senioritis is becoming a common phenomenon. Senioritis is a noticeable drop in motivation and academic performance as well as motivation. This is mostly due to the years of hard work which causes many students to feel burnt out and eager to move on with their lives whether that means go to college, get a job, or take a gap year. As more senior students are committing to a college, they begin to show a lack of interest in assignments and develop poor study habits since they already have their future planned out. Despite senioritis being something that is often joked about, it can also have consequences. As a senior you are expected to keep your grades up since slipping grades can impact college admissions as final transcripts are reviewed. Although it might seem difficult to beat senioritis, it is important to remind yourself what is at stake, make sure to set up short-term goals, and celebrate small accomplishments. You are almost there, you got this!!
