With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the sweet scent of love is filling the air. Unfortunately, there is an equal amount of heartbreak and sorrow in the atmosphere. As sad as that may be, fear not my newly-single friends! Students and staff at Lodi High School who have been through it before are graciously sharing their tips and advice on how to deal with heartbreak!

Javier Bustos, a senior football player many of you may know, shared his thoughts on heartbreak: “Everything happens for a reason, always remember that.”  Sukhi Kaur, your homecoming queen, continued this thought: “Sometimes bad things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

Ms. Policastro, one of our beloved Phys. Ed. teachers, had multiple tips on how to move on. “One of the best ways to deal with heartbreak is to surround yourself with your friends and people who care about you.” She also recommends using this opportunity to find ones self – try new things,  and get involved in new activities that interest you. Ms. Policastro says, “When you are doing things that make you happy, you can be the best version of yourself.” Ms. Kelly also adds the recipe of a bandaged heart by saying, “Always keep in mind that it is the other person’s fault for letting you go!”

Well, there you have it! Your Lodi High School family is here for you if you are riding on that emotional roller coaster of love. Regardless if you’re single or happily in love, everyone here at the Lodi Rampage is here to wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day!
