Many people wonder, what’s the difference between student council and student government? Well, student government is the entire school. That’s right. They’re in charge of dances, ram wars, and so much more. They are here to make your school year great. Mr. Galvin has been the adviser since last year and here’s what he had to say!

Q: What goal would you like to accomplish this year as an advisor?

A: I want to have a repeat of Homecoming. Something else that would be would be fun would be a field day or an outdoor event during the day.

 

Q: What is your favorite part about being the Student Government adviser?

A: Watching students act like adults. Watching them mature and take control over the club is good to see.

 

Q: How do you feel about the candidates running for office?

A: I feel good about them. They are mostly all honor students. I like the repeats and even the fresh faces!

 

Q: What expectations do you have for the candidates that are winning?

A: I expect the winners of the elections to take it upon themselves to run the club, be open to everyone’s ideas, and lead at the same time.
