On Feb. 28, the honors band students filled the auditorium with beautiful music. Teachers from all different schools who were invited by the students themselves came to watch the concert. These band members have been working hard for years and it showed. The students played songs from “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queens to “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion. Students such as Sarah Santana and Ryan Gonzalez got to perform solos that blew the audience away. Everyone in attendance was moved by the performances and it is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the students and their leader, Dr. Macri. Our seniors have put in all of their time and effort that made them the musicians they are today. Although this is the last honors recital for seniors, Ishita Rana, Isobella Angeles, Angie Lopez, Deborah Coellar, Steven Dranto, and Sarah Santana will continue to carry the experience by pursuing a career in music and band.
